Custom Design Services

What sets us apart from other companies is our ability to provide professional services for each phase of the design/build process.

Davis Timber Company works with Commercial General Contractors, Architects and Engineers during the preliminary stages of custom design services.   Experience and expertise are of utmost importance when it comes to the design of complex construction projects.

We take pride by staying on the forefront of all new wood technologies and provide sound recommendations to our clients on the use of heavy timber construction on their projects. We discuss layout, species of wood, connection hardware, and the general feel of the project that is desired.

What sets us apart from other companies is our ability to provide professional services for each phase of the design/build process. We will walk our client through each phase of the process starting with the early conceptual design, followed by a budget estimate for your project, followed by the engineering/drafting work, followed by the material fabrication, and finally delivery to your job site and ready for professional installation.

Our engineering department insures the design works and creates a set of drawings from which our fabricators and installers work. Their expertise in timber design and connection hardware turns the design concept into a reality. It’s this expertise that is in demand with the home owners, architects, engineers, and building contractors, with which we work.

We are able to design, detail, and supply custom engineered glulam beams, tapered arches, and curved pergola members. In cases where the structure will be exposed to the elements, pressure treated Southern Pine or Alaskan Yellow Cedar can be specified to make the final product more durable. And when a project demands custom design services for serious structural connections, we are able to design and fabricate the steel solutions in our in-house fabrication shop. Give us a call and let us show you how we can work together on your next timber project.
